SUGAR QUAY WATERSIDE APARTMENTS
Sugar Quay will act as a sentinel to Sutton Harbour, the historic harbour of Britain’s Ocean City.
Sutton Harbour Group will develop 170 high quality waterside apartments within a staggered height, 21-storey mixed use building, in a distinctive “T” configuration, enabling the residents of each apartment to enjoy the west-facing views of the harbour, the Barbican, the Citadel and Plymouth Hoe as well as Plymouth Sound and the City Centre.

The Sugar Quay site has lain empty for many years and the new plans have been welcomed by many, with the scheme unanimously granted planning permission by Plymouth City Council in April 2022

170 Luxury Apartments
The Sugar Quay development is based on a “T” shaped floor plan, so that all units will enjoy a view to the west. From the 8th to the 19th storey, the residential units stagger back, reaching in the northeast corner the pinnacle of the 19th storey.
The staggering provides for roof terraces at each step-back. The Sugar Quay scheme will also feature a widened public walkway and a new entrance to the harbour front, with enhanced urban public realm to allow the visitors to enjoy the site’s unrivalled position.

A Dynamic Development

This will add to security and convenience of the residents and their visitors, in parking their vehicles in the nearby Harbour Car Park, which will be extended in capacity with two additional floors, the construction of which has already commenced, and will be completed before occupation of Sugar Quay by its residents.
Construction of Sugar Quay is scheduled to begin during 2023 with completion anticipated within up to three years.
