RNLI Lifejacket Clinic

We are delighted to advise the Plymouth Lifeboat Station Water Safety Team will be on site from 9.30am to undertake a FREE Lifejacket Clinic on Saturday 7th May.

Specially trained RNLI volunteers will show you how to maintain your lifejacket to keep it fully functioning. They’ll show you how to check it for wear and tear and do simple maintenance tasks like replacing gas bottles and firing heads.

At a recent clinic, RNLI volunteers found 50% of lifejackets had faults, and many had serious defects.  So don’t wait till you’re in trouble to find out your lifejacket is not working properly, instead bring it to one of the RNLI Water Safety Team volunteers on Sutton Jetty on the 7th May morning from 9.30am onwards.  Please note inspections will be undertaken on a first come, first served basis.
