Prestigious law firm moves to new premises at Sutton Harbour

A long-standing business based in Sutton Harbour has moved into a prime new location on Plymouth’s spectacular waterfront.

Thomas Miller Law (TM Law), formerly Davies Johnson, has been a tenant of Sutton Harbour Holdings plc for more than 20 years, with its Plymouth offices based in Sutton Harbour. The company has recently relocated into purpose-built new office facilities at North Quay House, in the heart of Britain’s Ocean City, enjoying stunning views over Sutton Harbour Marina and out into the iconic Plymouth Sound

The law firm’s new location measures 4,028 square feet, which is more than double the size of its former office at Old Harbour Office on Guy’s Quay,

Charles Patterson, Legal Director at TM Law, said: “Sutton Harbour is one of the most sought after business areas in Plymouth and it’s such a pleasant place to be, so we didn’t want to move out of the area.

“North Quay House is in very spectacular surroundings, with cafes and restaurants nearby. Everyone is so impressed with the new office, and our higher location means we have a better view out across the water – it’s such a fantastic setting.

“We are now settled in. Everyone in the office enjoys the new open plan layout; we all had individual offices before and, although it’s certainly different, it’s working well. The purpose of a larger office is to realise the strong desire to grow our business further.”

TM Law is an international firm of shipping, transport and commercial solicitors which provides legal services to its clients from its five offices in the UK, Australia and Geneva.

TM Law is proud of its Plymouth presence and works on behalf of ship owners, charterers, ferry and cruise operators, marine trades and ports and terminals in the South West and across the world.

Mark Slade of Bruton Knowles, the letting agents for Sutton Harbour Holdings plc, said: “We are delighted that TM Law decided to stay in Sutton Harbour and take advantage of one of the larger office spaces available in one of the fantastic, purpose-built commercial buildings on the waterfront.

“North Quay House is in an ideal setting, in close proximity to cafes, shops and restaurants, as well as to the city centre, and with spectacular views across the marina that really can’t be beaten.”

North Quay House is part of Plymouth’s waterfront business district, which also includes East Quay House and Pinnacle Quay, and is owned by Sutton Harbour Holdings plc and managed by Bruton Knowles on SHH plc’s behalf.

North Quay House is also home to major South West businesses such as PFK Francis Clark and Beers Solicitors.
